Marcos Freitas’ success have mainly come from his doubles playing where he has won both gold and bronze medals at the European Championships.

He is known for his attacking play and has caught many an opponent out with his left-handed play. In 2014, Marcos Freitas defeated Timo Boll to clinch the European Championships for his country in the team event.
