Li Xiaoxia is the current Olympic Champion in the women’s singles event, winning gold at London 2012, defeating Ding Ning in the final. Li is coached by Li Sun, former mentor of Zhang Yining, who is considered to be one of the all-time table tennis greats in the female category.
Li Xiaoxia also won the World Championships in 2013 and has won 23 ITTF World Tour golds across both the singles and doubles events.
