Fang Bo was born in Tongcheng County, Hubei in 1992 and is one of China’s emerging young table tennis prospects. Fang claimed all four available team and individual titles at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Columbia.

In 2015 Fang Bo beat Xu Xin and Zhang Jike to reach the final of the Men’s Singles event at the World Championships in Suzhou, missing out to Ma Long in the final.
