Dimitrij Ovtcharov was born in Ukraine, before moving with his family to Germany shortly after his birth. He has won both silver and bronze medals at the Olympic Games.
The German player has won six World Tour competitions in the Men’s Singles category, and also helped his national team to six European Championships in a row (2007 – 2013) with the team event having not taken place in the 2012.
