Born January 20th 1992 in Uijeongbu (Korea), Jung is one of his country’s younger professional table tennis players (23) and began playing at the age of 7.

Previous achievements include: finishing 2nd at the 2005 Asian Youth Championships, 2nd at the 2010 WTC-World Team Cup, winning the men’s doubles event at the 2013 Poland Open and the men’s singles title at the 2015 Korea Open.
