World Rankings Summary: July 2017

The TT World Rankings video for July 2017 is now online, so you can catch up with the key rankings movement for the month.

Recently crowned Africa Cup champion Quadri Aruna has enjoyed a good rise up the table with the Nigerian moving up from 35th to 29th position in the men’s list, while Japan’s Masaki Yoshida impressively gained 25 places to move up to 22nd.

Dimitrij Ovtcharov remains the highest ranked European player in the men’s game, rising up one position to fourth, and World No.2 Fan Zhendong continues to keep the pressure up at the top end of the table.

There have also been a number of positive performances in the women’s rankings table.

Sakura Mori of Japan is up eight spots to 27th, and German representative Shan Xiaona progresses four positions to move into 14th place.

Chinese teenage star Sun Yingsha makes her debut on the senior world rankings list, impressively debuting in 10th position following fantastic campaigns at the 2017 Japan Open and 2017 China Open, and another teenage superstar Miu Hirano of Japan moves into the top five.
