Michael Maze Announces International Comeback

Denmark’s Michael Maze has announced that he will return to international table tennis following his retirement in 2016.

The 36-year-old stated on his Instagram page that he has made the decision because he misses the sport and is feeling fit enough to compete with the world’s best players.

Maze retired in March 2016 due to persistent injury issues but has been in action in the 2017-2018 European Champions League with Danish side Roskilde.

Aiming to participate at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games we can expect to see Maze¬† on the international scene in the not to distant future, but regardless of whether he qualifies for Tokyo 2020 or not it will be a great sight to see one of Denmark’s greatest table tennis stars return.
